AP Statistics is a college-level introductory statistics course built around the four-step statistical investigative process: formulate questions, collect data, analyze data, and interpret results. The redesigned course is aligned to the American Statistical Association's GAISE II guidelines and organized into five units that move from describing data to drawing conclusions from it.
You'll start by exploring one-variable data and collecting data, then study probability and random variables, and finally learn statistical inference: confidence intervals and significance tests for proportions and means, before closing with regression analysis. Throughout, the emphasis is on reasoning with data and communicating conclusions in context.
