About the digital SAT & PSAT

The digital SAT is split into two sections: Reading & Writing and Math, each broken into two equal modules. The test is computer-adaptive — performance on the first module of each section determines whether the second module is easier or harder, which then shapes your final score.

The PSAT (including the PSAT/NMSQT and PSAT 8/9) follows the same digital format and the same content domains as the SAT, just with a slightly shorter test and an easier overall difficulty curve. Everything you study for the SAT directly transfers to the PSAT.
