Strategy tips

Identify the setting first. Is it a probability rule, a random variable, a binomial count, or a normal model? Each has its own tools.

For conditional probability, restrict the sample space to the given condition before computing.

Check BINS before using binomial formulas, and remember mean = np, SD = √(np(1 − p)).

Standardize with a z-score for normal questions, and read the explanations even when you got it right.
