Strategy tips

Strong acids/bases use direct calculation; weak acids/bases need an ICE table with Ka or Kb. Identify which type you're dealing with before you start crunching numbers.

pH = pKa happens at half-equivalence, not at the equivalence point. Don't mix up these two landmarks on a titration curve.

The equivalence point of a weak acid/strong base titration is basic, not neutral. The conjugate base hydrolyzes water.
